So what am I doing wrong? Is there a timeout on Pi's connection? Is there some way to keep openvpn running? status file, it does not contain info about the pid.and I can see that the S02openvpn writes info to a log file - where is this log? How do I see what got written there? I am a little confused about a few things - If I do a "ps -a | grep open" nothing shows, even when I know the connection is up. I thought the start up deamon would start another one, but apparently not. ![]() seems that after some time, not sure exactly how long, but the vpn connection dies. Next I copied my config file to /etc/openvpn/my_nf rebooted and again opening a browser confirmed the system was using the VPN connection. After setting the path to a file with login/password, I did: "sudo openvpn my_config_file &" some messages came out and running the browser confirmed that the system was using the VPN connection. I then got a config file from my VPN-provider. Hi - I have a Pi 3, I did "sudo apt-get install openvpn" to get Openvpn installed.
